Constantine Manos Exhibit in Boston

There will be a grand opening of the Leica Store and Gallery in Boston on Thursday, September 15. The first-ever Boston Store and Gallery will offer New-England residents access to the German optics manufacturer’s line of high-end products and expert staff, as well as a rotation of carefully curated exhibits on display. To celebrate the grand opening, they will debut a special exhibit by award-winning Magnum photographer Constantine Manos, a Provincetown resident. The exhibit, which is called Looking Back and includes several unpublished photographs of Manos’ career, also be on display at the store opening and remain public until November 15. Located in Park Plaza Hotel,  the Leica Store and Gallery Boston boasts over 3,000 square feet of space.


Well-StrungWell-Strung, the Singing String Quartet, Makes Debut at City Winery in New York

Well-Strung, the singing string quartet will perform for one show only at City Winery, on Sunday, September 18th at 8 p.m., featuring special guest singer/songwriter Anne Steele.  The group who specializes in pairing classical compositions by Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach with pop hits by Adele, Taylor Swift, and Kelly Clarkson, is finishing up their summer run at The Art House in Provincetown, MA.

The New York Times recently raved about Well-Strung, calling them “a talented quartet of men that sings and plays string instruments and brilliantly fuses pop and classical music from Madonna to Beethoven.” They made their second appearance on The Today Show this past October, and the foursome has quickly gained international attention playing in London, Rome, and Vienna, as well as selling out venues all across the United States. Well-Strung’s new CD, titled POPssical, debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover Chart and #9 on Billboard’s Classical Chart last fall.

Anne Steele is an award-winning singer/songwriter and recording artist from New York. She is a three-time winner of New York’s prestigious Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs (MAC) Award. In addition to her three MAC awards, she is a two-time winner of New York’s Bistro and Nightlife Awards, both celebrating excellence in the New York music community.  She released her first EP of original music titled What’s Mine, in 2015, and announced the release with sold-out concerts at Joe’s Pub in NYC Rockwell Table and Stage in LA.
