AMP Gallery Relocates

For four years Debbie Nadolney has been bringing an eclectic set of contemporary art to her West End gallery AMP: Art Market Provincetown. Her openness as a curator has brought about a unique gallery experience here, featuring not only painting and other forms of fine art, but also performance art, music, film, video, and installation work that is sometimes hard to find in town. Now Nadolney brings AMP into the town’s official gallery district with its relocation to 432 Commercial Street, previous home to Kobalt Gallery, Patty Deluca, Gary Marotta, and others.
“It’s just so exciting,” says Nadolney. “And everyone has been so welcoming here.”
Surrounded by the historic Ciro & Sal’s Restaurant, Kiley Court Gallery, Rice/Polak Gallery, Ray Wiggs Gallery, Hutson Gallery, Simie Maryles Gallery, Oils By the Sea, and William Scott Gallery—each place with its own quite distinct personality—AMP will fit right in by standing out, as each of these establishments do. There is no indication of any change in the AMP exhibition philosophy, but Nadolney plans to conform to the Friday night stroll schedule of the East End, albeit with her own spin on things. Although there is a soft opening reception this Friday night, April 15, the real grand opening party is on June 10 and will feature Billy Hough and Sue Goldberg of ScreamAlong with Billy fame!
Nadolney is excited to add a few new names to her roster of artists, including photographer Larry Collins and painter Christopher Sousa to name just two. Her 2016 season demonstrates her continuing passion for contemporary art. The opening exhibition, a group show entitled Scratch, runs April 15 – May 1 and features work by Karen Cappotto, Jamie Casertano, Paula Clendenin, Barbara Cohen, Richard Dorff, Megan Hinton, Keith Krisa, MP Landis, Bobby Miller, Jennifer Moller, Pasquale Natale, Marian Roth, Forrest Williams, and Laura Wulf. The next exhibition will be a photography show featuring work by Jamie Casertano (also new to AMP), Frank Mullaney, and Christopher Turner (May 27 – June 9).
