Originally from Stoughton Massachusetts, Rick Hines spent his early years traveling and living in many different states from Hawaii to Florida to Vermont until he landed in Provincetown in 1987.  After working in sales for several publications from 1987 to 1991 he then became Publisher of Provincetown Magazine in 1992, From that time to today he has successfully ,managed the Magazine through many  difficult times, those including Hurricane Bob (1992)  The peak of the AIDS epidemic,
9/11 ,the great recession of 2008, and  the Pandemic of 2020/2021, he has proven his skills in overcoming obstacles of any size and is a valuable asset to Provincetown Magazine.

Rebecca M. Alvin (MA, Media Studies, The New School; BS, Film, Emerson College) has been editor of Provincetown Magazine since 2008. Originally from New York, she has lived on the Cape for over 20 years and has worked as a journalist here since 2000. In addition, she has written on film and the arts for numerous national publications, including Cineaste, The Journal of Film and Video, Film & History, The Independent, and Moviemaker. She is a filmmaker with three feature-length documentaries currently in distribution, as well as a number of short films and teaches film and media studies for The New School. She studied music at Berklee College of Music, as well.

A native of Taunton, Massachusetts Desroches is a 1996 graduate of Wheaton College (Massachusetts) with a degree in history. He spent a semester at Macquarie University in Sydney where he studied Australian history and Pacific island cultures. He also completed a summer fellowship in Istanbul, Turkey. Desroches worked in international education for five years before moving on to earn a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in 2002, where he received the Carlotta di Cagno and Davide di Cagno Hagen Prize for his piece on gay and lesbian refugees. Desroches moved to Provincetown in 2002 and wrote for the Advocate, InNewseekly, the Cape Codder, Boston Spirit, and Cape Cod Magazine before landing at Provincetown Magazine in 2009. Desroches writes about all aspects of arts, culture, and entertainment on the Outer Cape, with a particular expertise on Provincetown’s famed drag queen performance scene.

Peter Donnelly has been with Provincetown Magazine as an advertising representative since 2006, providing a stabilizing, steady hand over the years. He’s proven to be an indispensable resource to both new and long standing businesses, working to develop marketing strategies in the competitive, fast-paced local economy. A resident of the Outer Cape since 1991, Donnelly has a deep understanding of both the opportunities and challenges of connecting businesses and artists with their desired audience and customers. Donnelly is also a well-known singer-songwriter and concert producer. Upon his arrival in Provincetown he co-founded the popular and long-running Coffeehouse at the Mews with Ron Robin. In addition to his solo work as a musician he also performs in the folk pop duo Donnelly & Richardson and the New Beach Band. Donnelly produces the Sunset Music Series each summer at Herring Cove Beach, in cooperation with Far Land Provisions and the Cape Cod National Seashore.

Michael Petty (BA Commercial Art/MFA Illustration/Design) enjoys over 40 years of design/illustration work where he served as a college instructor teaching design, drawing/painting. He also spent years designing fashion retail catalogs, hundreds of mass-market children’s books and complex textbooks along with colorful scratch-off gaming products for State/International lotteries. Michael specialized for a couple decades in direct mail for Fortune 500 clients, designing trade ads, dimensional mail, brochures, website graphics, posters/sales collateral. Years were also spent creating branding/advertising for fitness clubs plus pharmaceutical advertising, designing educational materials for doctors & clinician events.

Originally from Upstate New York, Dan McKeon became a Provincetown resident in 2009, following retirement from the NY State Office of Mental Health. Since 2010, he has become well-known as the official photographer for the Provincetown Business Guild, Provincetown Magazine, and many other local institutions. He has done production-photography for films, major brands, network television, and regularly donates his time and photography services to local charities, including Helping Our Women (H.O.W.), and The AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC). Dan is also an accomplished wedding photographer, real estate photographer, and family photographer, with the goal of promoting Provincetown as a year-round vacation destination.
