GO Magazine Names Lynette Molnar of Provincetown One of “100 Women We Love”
Provincetown’s renowned women’s event producer Lynette Molnar has been named one of “100 Women We Love” by GO Magazine, the nation’s most widely distributed lesbian magazine. Molnar, a longtime Provincetown resident, has produced scores of diverse and popular events that have drawn over a hundred thousand women to this resort town over the past 20 years.
“As a passionate, prolific and successful producer of decades of important events for our community, Lynette is the perfect example of the movers and shakers GO proudly features each year in ‘100 Women We Love,’” said GO Magazine publisher Amy Lesser.
This is Molnar’s second time in 10 years to be honored on the distinguished list. Other honorees this year include Huffington Post Editor-in-Chief Lydia Polgreen, actor Samira Wiley from the TV series Orange Is the New Black and The Handmaid’s Tale, and NBC news writer Mary Emily O’Hara. Previous years’ awardees include TV talk show host Ellen Degeneres, MSNBC news anchor Rachel Maddow, and comedian and actor Rosie O’Donnell.
Molnar’s company, ProvincetownForWomen.com, produces Girl Splash, an annual summer extravaganza for women that took place this year July 18-22 in Provincetown.
ProvincetownForWomen.com also produces/co-produces four other annual Provincetown women’s events: Single Women’s Weekend, a set of matchmaking events the third weekend in May; Memorial Day Weekend; Women’s Week in October; and support for Women of Color Weekend in May/June.
“I am so honored by this award, and more dedicated than ever to creating community for women,” Molnar said. “From Girl Splash 2017 to Women’s Week 2017 to our 2018 events, ProvincetownForWomen.com will deliver even more fun, more relaxation, more community, more culture and more reasons to come to Provincetown than ever before!”
