ou can’t help but like a business named for a Walt Whitman poem, and the photographs produced by Song of Myself Photography are often just as lyrical as poetry. Brad Fowler’s technique is what he calls “directed play,” and he explains, “working quickly, we try out a multitude of ideas, poses and action shots, and moods. Serendipitous unscripted moments are highly encouraged!” Fowler does individual and couples portraiture, family portraiture, business and social media photography, headshots, weddings and events, and classic nudes. He’ll work with you in his studio, in your home, or anywhere on location; his favorite places are beaches on Cape Cod Bay. “I love to work with all types of people who want thoughtful, imaginative imagery that emphasizes emotion,” he says. Fowler custom prints and retouches all his work in-house on a 44” Epson printer using archival paper and inks.
