The Porchside Bars at the Gifford House are two bars that spill out onto the porch. One is a relaxing, cozy, year-round lounge presided over by Gregg, who has made this lounge his home. Gorgeous figurative artwork, depicting everyday scenes from life “through the bar’s eyes” grace the bright yellow walls. There are couches, a pool table, Ms. Pac-Man… The other features a piano and nightly entertainment in season. Six nights a week, three different styles of music, comfortable seating, and, of course, the porch. There’s an easy vibe here. It’s the calm before going down the hill. Or the calm after coming up the hill. It’s a place for friends, year-rounders, visitors, porch-sitters. Have a seat this summer, listen to the tinkling of the piano, hang out outside with friends.
