Provincetown Film Society Search for New CEO/Executive Director
Provincetown Film Society (PFS) CEO and Executive Director Christine Walker will be shifting her role within the Society to focus her attention on their women’s initiatives, including the annual Women’s Media Summit. PFS is pleased to announce a search for a new CEO/Executive Director to lead and manage the organization. PFS is committed to being a year-round arts organization in Provincetown through our three divisions: the annual Provincetown International Film Festival, the Waters Edge Cinema, and the Gabrielle A. Hanna Film Institute. They are looking for candidates who share their vision to help build a more equitable and inclusive society that sustains and enriches all within the community.
PFS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the founding mission of the Provincetown Art Colony – to provide a welcoming, nurturing and inspiring environment for boundless and authentic creative exploration – in film.
From the time it was founded in 1998, PFS has been committed to serving its communities who are often outside of the mainstream, in the margins, or otherwise underserved – but who have a voice critical to the evolution of artistic expression. It has also been dedicated to the celebration of Provincetown – a shining example of diversity and inclusion and an American treasure nestled amongst spectacular National Seashore beaches.
PFS provides year-round programming to promote the cultural and economic vitality of Provincetown, to support aspiring and established filmmakers, connecting them with curious and engaged audiences globally, and to endorse gender, racial, and sexual diversity in international entertainment media.
