Perfectly placed atop Bradford Street’s steepest hill, the Crowne Pointe Hotel, Spa, & Restaurant has an aura of majesty about it that matches its name. Since opening in 1999, David Sanford and Thomas Walter have sought to make the Crowne Pointe the full hotel experience for their guests, while still remaining down-to-Earth and friendly. “It’s like an inn, but still offering hotel-type amenities,” says Walter.
Originally, the business was just an inn, but within the first few years of business, Sanford and Walter had expanded their venture, adding the Pointe Restaurant & Wine Bar and the Shui Spa to the Crowne Pointe experience. With special deals and packages, visitors can easily enjoy their stay at the Crowne Pointe in addition to fine dining in the restaurant and relaxing treatments and massages in the spa. And just this past winter, new outdoor seating has been added to the restaurant, with a gorgeous, florally decorated patio overlooking Bradford Street.
Walter loves seeing faces from all over the world pass through the establishment, but the Crowne Pointe is also open most months of the year for the many locals who come to have a bite to eat or relax in the sauna. No matter what, the Crowne Pointe seeks to give everyone who passes through the ideal experience, whether you’re staying a while or just dropping by for dinner. Regardless, from way up high, the Crowne Pointe welcomes you with open arms.
