The John DeMatteis Memorial Fundraiser Benefiting Soup Kitchen in Provincetown (SKIP)

is on Friday, June 26, 6 – 9 p.m. at ShowQueen Gallery 432 Commercial St.

Join ShowQueen during the Provincetown Art Gallery Stroll to honor John DeMatteis, the beloved Ptown legend known to many as “Harbor Master John,” “Johnny on the Stoop,” “Johnny Cologne,” or “Johnny from the Bronx.”  To those in Provincetown’s East End, John was best known as “Johnny in the Window” since he was frequently seen hanging out of his second-story window at 421 Commercial Street. John died suddenly this spring, and he is deeply missed.

John’s children and partner Maxine have authorized artist Richard Prescott to create a limited-edition print of Johnny in the Window, with all proceeds benefiting SKIP. Prints are $40; framed canvas-wrapped digital paintings are also available to order in a small limited-edition.
