“Politically engaged, socially conscious, and a bit naughty.” Adam’s Nest, the brainchild of Adam Singer, is a shop with a conscience. In 2016 the theme for Carnival Parade was the 80s, and Adam took it seriously. “Silence=Death” and “Read My Lips” was his initial response on a t-shirt, and things took off from there. His shop is filled with sex-positive, queer-positive messages, and nearly every t-shirt sold has a story and is connected to a cause. For instance, when you buy the “7 Words Banned at the CDC” t-shirt, 10% goes to the ACLU. When you buy the “Physique Pictorial” t-shirt, 25% goes to the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod. This is only to name two. There are 11 nonprofits that get support from his shop. Eleven!
The t-shirts are Next Level, 100% cotton, all with a compelling message, some a bit risqué. Some very risqué. He has hats, books, artwork, postcards, pins—all queer-themed. Find your way to this nest of protection and safety, this little nook of affirmation, and feel the love!
