The PIFF Launch Party Weekend includes an intimate dinner with Tab Hunter and his partner Allan Glaser at Truro Vineyards on Friday, June 3, 6 – 9 p.m. Then, on Saturday, June 4, Waters Edge Cinema will screen John Waters’ Polyester at 1 p.m. and the feature documentary Tab Hunter Confidential at 4 p.m. The weekend wraps up on Sunday, June 5, 12 – 3 p.m. with a special Launch Party at Shawn Nightingale and Dr. Jay Jakubowski’s private home with stunning views of the bay. Hunter will attend the party as well, and PIFF programmers will give insider tips for attending the festival and reveal their experiences programming what has become an incredible annual event. The actual festival takes place this year June 15 – 19.  For tickets and information about the kickoff weekend visit ptownfilmfest.org/info/events.php.

Women’s Week 2.0

The Women Innkeepers Association is already hard at work to make this year’s Women’s Week better than ever. For starters, they have a new website. Visit womensweekprovincetown.com to see what’s already in the works for this annual event, which takes place this year October 10 – 16. And if you want to really keep on top of things, check out the new Women’s Week app, compatible with iPhones, iPod Touch, and Android devices. (If you’re on a Blackberry or iPhone 7, there is a mobile version of the website available as well.) The app allows you to plan a personalized schedule for Women’s Week and get all the details. This year there are some cool additions to the programming lineup, including the legendary Lily Tomlin appearing live October 9, so you’ll want to get your tickets now.
