This fun and casual eatery on the waterfront is now in its 24th season and is one of the best places in town for al fresco dining. Thirty tables overlook Commercial Street and provide a great place to eat and watch the parade of colorful passersby. But it’s the food that draws people in. From the brunch/lunch menu, served daily starting at 11 a.m., guests can enjoy freshly made lobster rolls, fish tacos, burgers, salads, and the famous native steamers simply prepared with stout, fresh herbs, and drawn butter. The dinner menu, served from 5 p.m. on, features freshly caught fish, filleted in-house. For the fish-phobic diner, pasta, vegetarian, and meat dishes like the grilled Filet Bourbon Blues, come highly recommended. If you can’t get a table outside, the indoor tables provide a great water view. Bubala’s also offers parking and live entertainment every night in season.
