“…the shop offers things you never thought you needed but suddenly find that you can’t live without.”
Don’t go to Utilities unless you have time to browse—because you’ll end up doing it anyway! The home store is filled with delightful accessories, gadgets, cookware, place settings, and more, all tucked into corners, on shelves… everywhere you look. In business for 20 years (the last 11 with owner Dennis Lemenager), the shop offers things you never thought you needed but suddenly find that you can’t live without. Dishes, kitchenware, cocktail accessories, gifts all vie for customers’ attention. Bestsellers this summer included the Corksickle line of thermos products (“you can fit an entire bottle of wine in this one, take it to the beach,” notes employee Paul Ruszcynski), bowls of all sizes, and wine glasses decorated with whale tails, octopuses, and maps of the Cape. “It’s a great place for souvenirs,” says Ruszcynski. “Actually, it’s a great place for everything!”
